City Council Minutes <br /> September 2, 2014 <br /> Page 7 of 8 <br /> BLAEDC does and is aware of the money that is brought back to the <br /> Community due to BLAEDC's economic development efforts. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 10.2. Call Special Meeting <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL <br /> MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR OCTOBER 7, 2014, AT 5:30 <br /> P.M. TO DISCUSS CIP PLANNING AND FUNDING SOURCES. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 11. Other Business <br /> There was no other business. <br /> 12. Adjourn to Closed Session <br /> Mayor Adams stated the following: <br /> "The agenda item is internal affairs data relating to allegations of law <br /> enforcement personnel misconduct. This portion of the meeting will be <br /> closed pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section 13D.05, subdivision <br /> 2(a)(2) <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER MOVED TO CLOSE THE COUNCIL <br /> MEETING. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> Mayor Adams noted that the time is 7:25 P.M. and that the City Council <br /> will go into a closed session in the Council Chambers. <br /> Mayor Adams noted that following a closed meeting for internal affairs <br /> data relating to allegations of law enforcement personnel misconduct, the <br /> City Council meeting is now open. The time is 7:45 p.m. <br /> MAYOR ADAMS MOVED THAT JOSH GARTNER BE DISCHARGED <br /> FOR THE REASONS STATED IN AND AS PROVIDED IN THE LETTER <br /> FROM ERIC KLANG, CHIEF OF POLICE, TO MR. GARTNER, DATED <br /> AUGUST 26, 2104, AND THAT THE CITY CLERK SUBMIT <br /> NOTIFICATION TO MR. GARTNER AND THE UNION CONSISTENT <br /> WITH THIS MOTION. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />
