September 16, 2014 Pefluot Lakes Housing & Redevelopment Authority Commissioners present: Jane Ness, Laura Hofius, Clara Nelson, Tamra Lanning Also present: Executive Director-Carlson, Assistant Director-Anderson, Maintenance-Moser Tenants: Rager, Walker *Call Regular Meeting to Order 5:15 p.m. Co-Chairman Ness called the meeting to order. *Consider Agenda/Changes Additional bills added to the original summary distributed earlier. *Consent Agenda/Regular Meeting Motion to Accept the Minutes, Payment of the Bills, Reviewed and Accept the Financials. Moved by Ness, Seconded by Lanning,All Ayes; Motion carried. *West Grove New tenant approved. *Sibley Terrace GPNA due out in November. A recent"Green"project was the product used to make the new sign. A tenant has requested their motorized scooter cart to be stored in garage until it is needed to be used. The tenant agreed to sign a waiver stating that we are not insurance liable and that they are going to pay a set fee to offset the electric cost to keep it plugged in. Motion to accept the storage proposal and required signed waiver of the motorized scooter cart. Moved by Ness, Seconded by Nelson,All Ayes; Motion carried. *ParkView Tenant meeting was held with the Parkview I building. There has been reports of drinking in the common areas, inappropriate statements, postings on apartment doors, tenant behavior to each other, etc. Executive Director Carlson pointed out the wording in the Tenant Handbook for the alcohol beverages in the common areas. It needs to be amended to be more specific. Sample of new wording was presented. Motion to amend the Tenant Handbook to include: No alcoholic beverages in common areas or community rooms. Moved by Nelson,Seconded by Hofius,All Ayes; Motion carried. *Alpine No Business *Executive Director's Report Clarification on Handbook Policy was discussed and amended decision on wording to be added was made. Maintenance Engineer's Report Tenant plumbing issue problem was addressed. Maintenance Moser addressed the issue as best by extracting as much fluid as possible and placing fans in the areas. Contractor Rotor Rooter was called to try and determine the cause, which he could not do. Carpet is being removed and cleaning to be done to all areas that were affected. Tenant had already given notice to vacate and is willing to live on non-carpeted areas of floors while in the move out process. Final clean up and replacement of carpet will be down after vacate. *Other Business No Business *Open Forum No Business *Adjournment 5:35 p.m. meeting adjourned.
