Maintenance Department Monthly Report
July 2008
With many hours of help from the Sentence-to-Serve crew, the
Trailside North Park has been completed and is already being used by the
neighboring kids. In other city parks there have been some vandalism, such
as minor spray paint attacks and destruction of the lighting system at the
Bobber Park.
Earlier in the month, several thunderstorms came through blowing
down many branches and entire trees on city streets. Of course, a couple
windy times came late at night causing some employees to miss sleep.
Projects that are currently being worked on are the Cole building and
Tower Square area parking lot which has been discussed some already.
Also, a proposed removal and upgrading of the front of the Cole Memorial
building will be before City Council soon.
Meetings Attended
June 6 — 9 Monthly Department Budget meeting
June 12 Park Board meeting
June 17 Jenkins Township meeting
June 20 Cole Building Use and Lease Agreement meeting
June 23 Crow Wing County Highway Turn back Proposals meeting
June 24 Job Evaluation Committee meeting
June 24 Highway 371 Sub-Committee meeting
