c. The City and the Town mutually agree that the Transition Committee will review, <br /> on a continuous basis the factors impacting this orderly annexation and will report <br /> to the City Council its recommendations. <br /> d. The City will designate an employee whose duties will include providing <br /> information and acting as a liaison in respect to City government for former <br /> Township residents. <br /> e. The Transition Committee shall remain in existence for a period of one year from <br /> the date of annexation as specified in this Joint Resolution. <br /> 9. Agricultural, Forestry, Rural Preservation: The City and the Town mutually agree <br /> that the preservation and protection of agricultural, forestry and the rural atmosphere is <br /> beneficial and have taken steps to establish a preservation policy policies regarding <br /> preservation. This policy includes These policies include the following items: <br /> a. Items protecting these areas are, and shall continue to be, included in the <br /> Comprehensive Plan and the Zoning Ordinance as necessary to ensure <br /> enforcement of this policy. <br /> b. The property annexed to the City pursuant to this Joint Resolution shall continue <br /> to be designated as zoned in the Town immediately prior to the annexation. <br /> c. Prior to the effective date of this Joint Resolution, modifications as necessary <br /> have been made to the City Zoning ordinance to allow for the continuation of <br /> activities in the Town area currently zoned for these districts—Agriculture, <br /> Forestry, Shoreland, Waterfront Commercial,Non-City Lakeshore Residential, <br /> Rural Residential and Residential Zoning Districts. (?. These may have changed <br /> per P &Z of the City). The City recognizes the special needs and problems <br /> associated with residential development in these districts. The ordinance includes <br /> boundaries for each zoning district as agreed to by both the City and the Town. A <br /> map showing these boundaries is attached, marked as Exhibit <br /> (Chuck will provide a Map for Exhibit A. Chuck will also get the City's zoning <br /> classification list and note the differences between Jenkins Township and Pequot <br /> Lakes existing zoning classifications) <br /> 10. Police and Fire Protection: The property annexed into the City shall continue to <br /> be served by the City Police and Fire Departments from the effective date of annexation. <br /> 11. Assessments and Bonded Indebtedness: The City agrees that it will not charge <br /> any additional (above the going rate) trunk fees or hook up fees to the annexed property <br /> unless service or hook-up is requested. Neither the Town nor the City is making any levy <br /> for bonded indebtedness for projects completed or embarked upon prior to the date of his <br /> this Joint Resolution. <br />
