Boardwalks. Boardwalks are the required alternative for achieving <br /> access to shore areas across delineated wetlands. Boardwalks must <br /> meet the following design requirements: <br /> (1) Boardwalks must not exceed four(4)feet in width on <br /> residential lots. Wider boardwalks may be used for <br /> commercial properties,public open space,recreational <br /> properties, and planned unit developments if specifically <br /> authorized in a conditional use permit. <br /> (2) Landings for boardwalks on residential lots must not <br /> exceed thirty-six(36)square feet in area. Landings larger <br /> than 36 square feet may be allowed for commercial <br /> properties,public open space recreational properties, and <br /> planned unit developments if specifically authorized in a <br /> conditional use permit. <br /> (3) Canopies or roofs are not allowed on boardwalks or <br /> landings.
