SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> TUESDAY, SEPTERMBER 26, 2022 <br /> PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Mayor Gardner, Council Members Pederson and Ronning <br /> Members Absent: Council Member Clement and Seils <br /> Staff Present: Rich Spiczka, City Administrator; Angie Duus, City Clerk/Treasurer <br /> Others Present: Shelia Holley—EDC Commission; Brad Becklin— EDC <br /> Commission; Travis Pine and Lakes Echo <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Mayor Gardner called the meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council to order at <br /> 6:00 p.m. <br /> 1.1. Pledge of Allegiance <br /> Mayor Gardner led with the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 2. Approval of 2023 Preliminary Lew Resolution to include HRA Levy <br /> Richard Spiczka stated that the HRA Commission did not submit their levy <br /> request until one week ago <br /> Eric Charpentier, Executive Director HRA explained that the City signed off in <br /> 2003 and in 2012 to levy for the HRA. <br /> MAYOR GARDNER MOVED TO APPROVE THE PRELIMINARY LEVIES AS <br /> FOLLOWED: <br /> • GENERAL REVENUE TAX LEVY-$2,116,885 <br /> • TAX ABATEMENT LEVY-$21,110 <br /> • GO UTILITY REVENUE AND DISPOSAL BOND 2020A LEVY- <br /> $87,159 <br /> • GO EQUIPMENT CERT SERIES 2022A-$25,981 <br /> • HRA SPECIAL LEVY-$49,752 <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 3-0. <br /> Dan reluctantly approved the levy based on the financial information that is not <br /> being supplied to the City. <br /> 3.
