Maintenance Department Monthly Report <br /> March 2008 <br /> The light's for the shop areas of the City Hall building were installed this <br /> month and makes a great improvement in brightness throughout the entire <br /> area. Soon a representative of Minnesota Power Company will verify the <br /> installation and start the rebate process to the City for the more efficient <br /> fixtures. <br /> The Holiday lights in the parks have come down officially ending the <br /> season. Clean-up with some repairs has begun in between snow banks with <br /> the Governors fishing opener being hosted in the park there is (Pawlenty) to <br /> be finished. <br /> Work has begun on a long range capital improvement plan by the Street <br /> Department and Clerks office. A schedule of projects is being laid out of <br /> work that should be done to some current streets and even future streets that <br /> � may be needed to accommodate growth. The plan would include a <br /> description of the street, approximate costs and if a storm sewer system <br /> would be need. If needed, a cost estimate of a storm sewer would also be <br /> included. <br /> Meetings attended in March <br /> March 3 Council meeting <br /> March 5 City safety and staff meetings <br /> March 7 Monthly department budget meeting <br /> March 10 MMUA Supervisor drug and alcohol training <br /> March 10 City health insurance committee meeting <br /> March 13 MMUA group safety training <br /> March 19 Met with Jenkins Township official <br /> March 20 Storm sewer fee meeting with WSN <br />
