Pequot Lakes Police Monthly Report <br /> August 2022: During the month of August (1st-319,the Pequot Lakes Police Department has a <br /> record of 281 calls for service. Call types include but are not limited to: <br /> • Counterfeit <br /> • Information <br /> • Damage to Property <br /> • Death <br /> • Disturbance <br /> • Open Door <br /> • Public Assist <br /> • Property Damage Accident <br /> • Stolen Recovered <br /> • Suicidal Person <br /> • Welfare Check <br /> Notable Calls: <br /> On 8/19/22, Officer Petersen responded to Wells Fargo bank for a report of counterfeit money. <br /> Wells Fargo stated they received three$100 counterfeit bills as a deposit from Dollar Tree. <br /> Dollar Tree reported that a female suspect came to the store the night prior to re-load a PayPal <br /> gift card and paid with the counterfeit money. A few days later, Melrose Police Department <br /> sent out a BCA Crime Alert looking for the same female suspect. Soon after,Todd County <br /> arrested two females in connection with the same crimes. It was also learned that Dollar <br /> General in Pequot Lakes also received counterfeit money from one of the suspects. Prosecution <br /> is pending in Todd County. <br /> On 8/21/22, Officer Derek Johnson was dispatched to a report of a physical domestic that <br /> occurred earlier. Female reported she was assaulted by her ex-husband.After further <br /> investigation,the male was ultimately arrest from Misdemeanor Domestic Assault. Officer <br /> Johnson was assisted by Breezy Point and the Crow Wing County SO. <br /> On 8/25/22, Officer Derek Johnson was dispatched to a report of an assault.Two brothers were <br /> doing work at a cabin and got into a physical altercation. One of the males fled the scene and <br /> was tracked by a IC9. Male was ultimately arrested for Felony Domestic Assault by <br /> Strangulation. Officer Johnson was assisted by Sgt. Franz, Breezy Point, Nisswa and the Crow <br /> Wing County SO. <br />
