II. Operations and Maintenance:
• The monthly MPCA Discharge Monitoring Report was completed and submitted as
required.
• Attended Mn. Rural Water conference in St. Cloud from March 4th-6th.
• Will be receiving an excellence award from the M.P.C.A. for the continued operation
efforts in protecting the waters of the state.
• Sampled and sent in quarterly influent sample.
• Several air leaks have been observed at the facility and will need to be repaired. This
will require the lowering of the primary pond and removal of the rocks and soil, to
determine any solutions of how these can be fixed.
• On the 12th, utilized crane to pull each pump at the main lift station and remove debris
from these pumps before it became a problem.
• Have been working with Mike Rude from WSN on mapping updating. After receiving
these, inspected each water main valve and noted any changes on the map. This will
also be done to correct any changes on the sewer mapping.
• On the 24th, Tina and myself began inspecting manholes. At the intersection of Spruce
& West Grove St. the manhole was found half full of water. Followed sewer along
Spruce St. to West Sibley and determined there was a blockage along these two blocks.
After attempting to jet to the north and not having any results,we then jetted to the
south from the midway point and cleared whatever had caused the blockage. These two
blocks may need to be televised in order to evaluate what may be the problem.
• On the 25th, pumped out remaining water at an access manhole where the air-lines that
feed air to the ponds had been leaking.
• Completed 12 work orders.
Report Submitted By: Gary Giltner
Water/Wastewater Supervisor
City of Peouot Lakes
