Enclosed please find a copy of this quote. <br /> In making a decision on fire coverage you should consider proximity of the fire department. The <br /> ISO uses the "magic" number of 5 miles. That means, whatever classification a fire department <br /> has for its town class rating, this is extended to a 5 mile radius. Our current rating is an 8. <br /> Coverage outside the 5 mile radius goes to the next to class rating which would be a 10. <br /> Businesses are affected more-so by the ISO ratings than private residences. If you decide to <br /> change fire contracts to the Pequot Lakes Fire Department, businesses on the north end of Wilson <br /> Township may see an increase in their insurance costs due to this.
