City Council Minutes <br /> February 4, 2008 <br /> Page 5 of 7 <br /> 9.1. Update on Union Status <br /> Officer Nangle discussed the reason the Police Officers decided to <br /> organize a union. He noted that the officers are satisfied with their present <br /> benefits, however, they by organizing they will have a better chance of <br /> maintaining what they have built over the years. <br /> 9.2. Reassignment of Job Classification <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO ACCEPT JOHN <br /> RYAN'S LETTER OF RESIGNATION AS DEPUTY CHIEF OF POLICE. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED THAT JOHN RYAN BE MOVED <br /> TO POLICE OFFICER AT STEP 11 OF THE PAY SCALE, $21.13 PER <br /> HOUR EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 5, 2008. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> ORASKOVICH SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 10. City Clerk's Report <br /> Report by Clerk Peine. <br /> 10.1. Trailside Estates Update <br /> The City Clerk explained that the Trailside Estates Development is <br /> delinquent in paying the City for bills relating to the development in the <br /> amount of approximately $11,800. The Council reviewed the letter from <br /> the City Attorney regarding actions the City could take regarding this <br /> delinquent account. The Clerk noted that the Attorney has sent a letter to <br /> the bonding company demanding that the warranty bond be replaced with <br /> a performance bond as stipulated in the Developers Agreement. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO SEND A FORMAL NOTICE OF <br /> DEFAULT UNDER THE DEVELOPER'S AGREEMENT, RECORD A <br /> NOTICE OF ADVERSE CLAIM AGAINST THE PLAT AND TO <br /> WITHHOLD ISSUING LAND USE PERMITS FOR THE PROJECT UNTIL <br /> THE DELINQUENT ACCOUNT IS PAID. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 10.2. Reappointment of Library Board Members <br />
