Pequot Lakes Police Monthly Report <br /> May 2022: During the month of May(1st-315),the Pequot Lakes Police Department has a record <br /> of 313 calls for service. Call types include but are not limited to: <br /> • 911 Hangup <br /> • Alarm <br /> • Civil Problem <br /> • Disturbance <br /> • EMS <br /> • Fraud <br /> • Hazard In Road <br /> • Personal Injury Accident <br /> • Property Damage Accident <br /> • Suicidal Person <br /> • Theft <br /> • Welfare Check <br /> Notable Calls: <br /> On 5/5/22, Chief Kiang was dispatched was to a report of an injury accident at Hwy 371 and Co <br /> Rd 29. It was reported that a Toyota SUV left the roadway and was down near the lake. Upon <br /> arrival,the officers noted that her vehicle was stopped by a guard rail and trees,which saved <br /> her vehicle from entering the water.The female driver had minor injuries. <br /> On 5/31/22, Officer Sheri Fyle was dispatched to AAA Rental in Jenkins for report of a theft.A <br /> stump grinder and trailer were rented a few days prior and were yet to be returned. Combined <br /> total of equipment is$23,500. Law enforcement has a known suspect that is involved in other <br /> similar thefts in the area.This is still an active investigation. <br /> Other News: <br /> On 5/30/22 at approximately 6pm,the Brainerd Lakes Area was affected by severe weather <br /> causing widespread damage and power outages. Sgt. Ryan Franz was on duty this evening and <br /> went above and beyond to assist the city maintenance department to clear roadways of trees. <br />
