FIRE PROTECTION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF NISSWA AND THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES 3.7. STATE OF MINNESOTA GRANT CONTRACT THROUGH THE OFFICE OF JUSTICE FOR THE RESTORATIVE JUSTICE PROGRAM 3.8. RESOLUTION 08-08 APPROVING PREMISES PERMIT FOR AMERICAN LEGION #49 AUXILIARY COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. 4. Open Forum Ryan Buell addressed the Council regarding the fishing opener. He noted that the committee is in the planning stage and that he will be making a formal presentation to the Council at its April Council meeting. 5. Presentations 5.1. Tru Green The City Clerk noted that the Economic Development Committee heard a presentation from BLADC regarding The TruGreen Company's request to purchase a lot in the City's business park. The EDC voted unanimously to recommend to the City Council that the proposal be accepted. Elissa Rogers of BLADC made a presentation to the City Council on behalf of the TruGreen Company, a lawn care and tree and shrub care company. This company is proposing to purchase Lot 3, Block 4 in the Pequot Lakes Business Park for$43,900. This is a $5,000 reduction in the City's asking price of$48,900. The business owners feel the reduction is reasonable considering the pricing research they have done on the business park lots in Pine River, Jenkins, and Pequot Lakes. The company plans to create 2-7 jobs within the next two years. The current hourly wage is at $12.00 to $15.00 per hour. Wendy Snyder of TruGreen was present and showed the Council a blue print of the proposed building. COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL FROM TRUGREEN TO PURCHASE LOT 3, BLOCK 4 OF THE PEQUOT LAKES BUSINESS PARK AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY CLERK TO SELL THE LOT WITH THE CONDITIONS OUTLINED
