City Council Minutes <br /> January 8, 2008 <br /> Page 6 of 10 <br /> Jeremie Bridge addressed the Council regarding a request for a donation <br /> to the first responders. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO DONATE $3,000 TO <br /> THE FIRST RESPONDERS TO BE FUNDED FROM 2007 COUNCIL <br /> CONTINGENCY CARRYOVER FUND. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Council Member Ryan suggested that the First Responders also check <br /> with the Police Chief regarding additional funding from the Community <br /> Policing fund. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 11.1.B.Request for Donations from the Historical Society <br /> The Clerk noted that the Crow Wing County Historical Society has also <br /> requested funding from the City. The Council indicated that there was no <br /> interest in making a donation to the Crow Wing County Historical Society. <br /> 11.2. Trailside Estates <br /> The Clerk noted that Trailside Estates is delinquent in reimbursing the City <br /> for expenses related to the development process. She noted that the City <br /> Attorney has reviewed the issue and indicated that the City has the right to <br /> request payment from the Performance Bond. The Attorney also noted <br /> that the City has the right to halt any further development with the project <br /> including not issuing any further building or zoning permits. <br /> The Council discussed the issue and indicated that it would like to give the <br /> developer another chance to respond to the delinquency before calling the <br /> bond. <br /> The Council directed the Clerk to send a certified letter to the Developer <br /> indicating that the City needs a response within a specified amount of time <br /> and if there is no response then the City will begin the process of <br /> requesting payment from the Performance Bond. <br /> 11.3. Discuss-0-666-6 if l eriefifs .� <br /> The Clerk explained that currently the Mayor is receiving a wage of$100 <br /> per month and the Council Members receive $75 per month per ordinance <br /> 129 adopted April 14, 1980. The Clerk noted that on March 8, 2000, the <br /> \.. Council made a motion allowing the Council to receive health insurance <br />
