MONTHLY STAFF REPORT <br /> City Clerk's Office <br /> January, 2008 <br /> Meetings <br /> City Council Meetings <br /> The Council will be changing the meeting dates in February and March to the first <br /> Monday of the month due to precinct caucuses and statutory requirements. <br /> Park Board <br /> The Park Board met in January for its monthly meeting. See attached minutes. <br /> Economic Development Committee <br /> The Economic Development Committee met in January. Many topics were discussed at <br /> the meeting. BLADC will be present to update the Council on the meeting. BLADC <br /> attends all meetings and offers assistance when required. The Economic Development <br /> Committee is considering pursuing federal funds through the Department of Employment <br /> and Economic Development for a project. The Committee will be meeting with the <br /> Council at some point to discuss viable projects. <br /> EDC Flow Chart/Check Lists <br /> Attached are check lists that were developed by Dawn Bittner and a flow chart that was <br /> developed by BLADC and the Committee. The Planning Commission has reviewed and <br /> approved the check lists and chart. <br /> Projects <br /> BUDGET <br /> The Clerk's department continues to meet with all department heads on a monthly basis <br /> to review departmental budgets. <br /> In January we reviewed year-end budgets with all departments. The overall year end <br /> results look good. We were going to present this to Council in February. This <br /> presentation will be delayed until the March meeting. Nancy Malecha will be present at <br /> that meeting to present the information and answer questions. <br /> STORM WATER DRAINAGE FEE <br /> Jeanyne Alderson has been diligently working on entering data for all properties in the <br /> City into the billing system for storm wager drainage billing.
