City Council Minutes <br /> February 4,2008 <br /> Page 6 of 7 <br /> MAYOR MALECHA MOVED THE FOLLOWING REAPPOINTMENTS TO <br /> THE LIBRARY BOARD: <br /> • <br /> • SAM HENNIES — 3 YEAR TERM TO EXPIRE 12/31/2010 <br /> • NANCY ADAMS - 3 YEAR TERM TO EXPIRE 12/31/2010 <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 11. Maintenance Supervisor's Report <br /> Report by Mike Loven. <br /> 11.1. Mailbox Policy <br /> Mike Loven presented a mailbox policy to the Council. Mike noted that the <br /> policy indicates that the City will repair or replace mailboxes that are hit by <br /> snow removal equipment of the City if a conforming, properly installed, <br /> mailbox is in place. Mike noted that this policy may encourage <br /> homeowners to install conforming mailboxes. <br /> `-' COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO ADOPT THE CITY'S <br /> MAILBOX POLICY. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 11.2. Garage Area Lights <br /> Mike Loven noted that funds have been budgeted to replace light fixtures <br /> in the City Hall garages. He informed the Council that he received two bids <br /> and the low bid was from BLI Lighting Specialists at $11,272.50. Mike <br /> noted that the lights would show an energy savings. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ACCEPT THE BID FROM <br /> BLI LIGHTING SPECIALISTS FOR $11,272.50 TO REPLACE THE <br /> LIGHT FIXTURES IN THE CITY HALL GARAGES. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 12. City Engineer <br /> 12.1. Proposal for Services for South Oak Street <br /> Tim Houle presented a proposal for services for the reconstruction of <br /> South Oak Street from Brown Street south to West Lake Street. <br />
