EDC Minutes <br /> February 15, 2022 <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br /> Ice.Tyler Glynn stated he is currently working with Nichole about meeting with <br /> businesses in town. Mr. Glynn will speak with Nichole regarding keeping the <br /> Commission updated. <br /> Email update from Nichole Heinen, Chamber Director: Bobber Bocce on Ice <br /> took place on February 12th.Thank you to the city(Dalton)for helping plow the <br /> area on the ice! <br /> • 27 Teams Registered <br /> • Expected to have an additional 10-100 in attendance to watch and <br /> enjoy the band <br /> 7. Workforce Housing Update <br /> Mr. Spiczka asked the Commission if they hear about housing coming up for <br /> sale, please contact city hall so we are up to date on availability. <br /> 8. HRA <br /> A. HRA Directive—Purpose and Mission Statement <br /> B. Levy <br /> Discussion ensued regarding HRA levy, Mission Statement and purpose, and future <br /> plans for the HRA and city. <br /> 9. 2022 Project Goals <br /> Chair Lottman gave an overview of the 2022 goals: <br /> • Assist City with their Vision, informing the community of potential build <br /> sites and incentive programs <br /> • Utilize BLAEDC's knowledge to have pointed recommendations to the <br /> City Council <br /> • Break ground on 3 projects in the HOTGL and interior lots, meet with <br /> 15 potential builders <br /> • Explore redefining the Pequot Lakes HRA <br /> • Separate the maximum amount of land from the HOTGL TIF District <br /> and redefine housing <br /> • Bring 6 recommendation to the City Council <br /> • Support our school district <br /> • Encourage the City to bring in new businesses <br /> • Marketing strategies <br /> Discussion ensued regarding TIF financing, scheduling a special meeting <br /> about the HOTGL district, and redefining goals. <br /> COMMISSIONER LUEBKE MOVED TO APPROVE THE GOALS AS <br /> AMENDED. COMMISSIONER REICK SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 6-0. <br />
