Pequot Lakes Police Monthly Report <br /> February 2022 <br /> Calls for Service <br /> During the month of February(1st-28th) 2022,the Pequot Lakes Police Department has a <br /> record of 142 calls for service. Call types include but are not limited to: <br /> • 911 Hang-up <br /> • Alarm <br /> • Damage to Property <br /> • Disturbance <br /> • Domestic <br /> • EMS <br /> • Motorist Assist <br /> • Parking Complaint <br /> • Property Damage Accident <br /> • Public Assist <br /> • Scam/Con <br /> • Trespass <br /> • Welfare Check <br /> Notable Calls: <br /> On 2/18/2022, Chief Eric Kiang assisted with the multi-vehicle pileup on State Highway 371 and <br /> Hole-in-the-Day Bay.The crash was caused by whiteout conditions after high winds blew across <br /> the highway from Gull Lake. The approximate number of vehicles involved in the crash was <br /> twenty-six, including a Nisswa squad car, semi tractor-trailers, and a tow truck hauling a semi- <br /> tractor trailer. <br /> Crash victims were transported out of the scene to the Nisswa Fire Department to receive care <br /> from North Ambulance.The section of highway was closed for a period of time while personnel <br /> battled the weather to remove all vehicles. <br />
