The budget year end results for 2007 will be presented to the Council in February of
2008. Nancy Malecha will be present at that meeting to present the information and
answer questions.
YEAR END
Nancy Malecha, Deputy City Clerk is working on year-end information which include:
• paying final bills
• W2's
• 1099's
• 4ch Quarter Payroll, Sales Tax Reporting
• Entering new information in computer for payroll, PERA, etc.
• Annual PERA Reporting
• Budget Reporting to State Auditor
• Finalizing the City's 2007 budget
OFFICE EQUIPMENT
We have ordered a lap top computer for the Council Chambers. The computer will be
used by the Planning and Zoning Administrator and the City Clerk during meetings. We
have also ordered a projector that will be able to be hooked up to the computer so that
presentations can be made during Council meetings. We are also looking at having the
microphones project into the audience so that the people present will have an easier time
hearing the Council. Hopefully these improvements will be made in January or February.
SAFETY COMMITTEES/TRAINING
We continue to meet on a monthly basis with the Coop Safety Group consisting of
Nisswa, Pine River, East Gull Lake, Lake Shore, and Breezy Point. All employees are
encouraged and (required by OSHA) to attend the meetings. The City of Pequot Lakes
also has its own safety committee which meets on a monthly basis. I have included the
minutes from the last two meetings for your review. From now on I will be submitting all
safety minutes to the Council for your review.
