Plow Truck Equipment Certificate Jason Murray, David Drown Associates, presented the staff report. Mayor Gardner inquired about the annual 5% coverage. Discussion ensued regarding the annual 5% coverage column, tax levy amount, date of first payment and when would the funds be available to the City for purchase. COUNCIL MEMBER RONNING MOVED TO APPROVE THE RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF$176,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION EQUIPMENT CERTIFICATE OF INDEBTEDNESS, SERIES 2022A TO BANK OF ZUMBROTA WITH DAVID DROWN ASSOCIATES, INC. AS THE MUNICIPAL ADVISOR AND LEVYING A TAX FOR THE PAYMENT THEREOF. COUNCIL MEMBER SEILS SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-1. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON OPPOSED THE MOTION. 5.2. Olson Street Vacation Discussion Aaron Nelson, Pequot Lakes High School Principal; Kurt Stumpf, Pequot Lakes Superintendent; Joselyn Rinio, Pequot Lakes High School Junior were present. Mr. Stumpf, Mr. Nelson, and Ms. Rinio all presented that there is a lack of parking at the Pequot Lakes High School and would like the city to consider vacating Olson Street so the school can work on better traffic flow and parking. Discussion ensued regarding number of spaces, traffic flow, safety concerns on Olson Street and cost of vacating the street. Consensus of the council is for the school to move forward with their facility studies with the vacation of Olson Street. 5.3. BlazeAir Presentation Jacob Blaeser, BlazeAir, was present. Discussion ensued regarding budget and 25% down payment, availability of footage, how can the city promote the video, deadline for video, what happens if the city is not happy with the final video, length of video (2-3 mins)and what the Council would like to see on the video.
