Adopted: 2/6/2007 <br /> City of Pequot Lakes <br /> Job Description <br /> Job Title: Water/Wastewater Manager <br /> Department: Water and Sewer <br /> Supervisor: City Council <br /> Positions Supervised: None <br /> Position Summary: <br /> Work involves performing a variety of tasks related to the efficient and economical <br /> maintenance and operation of the city's sanitary sewer system,municipal water system <br /> and all necessary record keeping. <br /> Job Duties: <br /> 1. Performs management activities. <br /> A. Plans,recommends and implements department goals,policies and <br /> procedures,programs,and long range planning. <br /> B. Selects,manages, and maintains relationships with vendors and <br /> contractors. <br /> C. Completes various required reports and maintains records. <br /> D. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations. <br /> E. Awareness of OSHA regulations in relation to water/wastewater <br /> operations. <br /> F. Prepares the department's budget. <br /> G. Monitors and controls sewer/water department expenditures. <br /> 2. Performs ongoing maintenance activities. <br /> A. Supervises the operation and maintenance of all the components of the <br /> water/wastewater treatment system. <br /> B. Performs preventative maintenance programs for all sewer ponds,lift <br /> stations,sewer lines,City's wells,pumps,control panels,waterlines, <br /> machinery and equipment. <br /> C.
