DRUG DROP OFF PROGRAM <br /> Take It To <br /> THE BOXU <br /> Safe Use • Safe Storage • Safe Disposal <br /> The Pequot Lakes Police Department collection site has been operational since October of <br /> 2015. Our department's drop box is conveniently located on the first floor of city hall and has <br /> been a great asset to the citizens of our community. It is estimated that over 500 pounds of <br /> medication was collected in 2021 at the Pequot Lakes drop off site, which was safely destroyed. <br /> SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE <br /> Since creating our Facebook page in June 2015, we have gained over 4,000 followers. Our page <br /> is maintained by all police department staff, who share in the responsibility of creating and <br /> sharing posts, as well as responding to messages. <br /> Currently, social media is an excellent tool to share and spread information efficiently. With <br /> posts created and shared almost daily, we can keep the public informed about inclement <br /> weather, upcoming TZD shifts, and community events.
