City Council Minutes <br /> January 4, 2022 <br /> Page 5 of 7 <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SEILS MOVED TO APPROVE PARTIAL PAYMENT <br /> ESTIMATE NUMBER 4 TO DECHANTAL EXCAVATING IN THE AMOUNT OF <br /> $6,167.18. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 9.3. North Oak Street Grade Issue <br /> Mayor Gardner and Mr. Spiczka stated there is a drainage issue on North Oak <br /> Street. The drainage is going into the Pequot Lakes HRA parking lot. <br /> Discussion ensued regarding possible repairs such as to regrade the street, <br /> install storm drainage, install a vertical French drain, etc. Consensus of the <br /> Council is for Tim Houle to meet with the Public Works department to create a <br /> plan for repair. <br /> 10. Administration <br /> 10.1. Administration Report <br /> Rich Spiczka presented the staff report. <br /> 10.2. Request to Hire Library Coordinator <br /> Mayor Gardner stated the library is requesting to accept applications for a part- <br /> time Library Coordinator. <br /> Mark Jurchen stated that Nancy Adams, Judy Larson and who have been <br /> volunteer Library Coordinator. The Library Board is looking for a Part-Time <br /> Library.Coordinator who will work well with the volunteer system. Mr. Jurchen <br /> staffed that the library will have enough funds for at least 3 years with the Friends <br /> of the Library endowment to pay for the position. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE LIBRARY TO <br /> ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF LIBRARY <br /> COORDINATOR. COUNCIL MEMBER RONNING SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED;5-0. <br /> 10.3. HRA Discussion <br /> Mayor Gardner would like to add the HRA discussion to the Special meeting. <br /> Mayor Gardner has been researching how the HRA and City are supposed to <br /> work together. <br /> 10.4. Annual Appointments <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE 2022 ANNUAL <br /> APPOINTMENTS AS RECOMMENDED. COUNCIL MEMBER SEILS <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />
