City Council Minutes January 4, 2022 Page 5 of 7 COUNCIL MEMBER SEILS MOVED TO APPROVE PARTIAL PAYMENT ESTIMATE NUMBER 4 TO DECHANTAL EXCAVATING IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,167.18. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 9.3. North Oak Street Grade Issue Mayor Gardner and Mr. Spiczka stated there is a drainage issue on North Oak Street. The drainage is going into the Pequot Lakes HRA parking lot. Discussion ensued regarding possible repairs such as to regrade the street, install storm drainage, install a vertical French drain, etc. Consensus of the Council is for Tim Houle to meet with the Public Works department to create a plan for repair. 10. Administration 10.1. Administration Report Rich Spiczka presented the staff report. 10.2. Request to Hire Library Coordinator Mayor Gardner stated the library is requesting to accept applications for a part- time Library Coordinator. Mark Jurchen stated that Nancy Adams, Judy Larson and who have been volunteer Library Coordinator. The Library Board is looking for a Part-Time Library.Coordinator who will work well with the volunteer system. Mr. Jurchen staffed that the library will have enough funds for at least 3 years with the Friends of the Library endowment to pay for the position. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE LIBRARY TO ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF LIBRARY COORDINATOR. COUNCIL MEMBER RONNING SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED;5-0. 10.3. HRA Discussion Mayor Gardner would like to add the HRA discussion to the Special meeting. Mayor Gardner has been researching how the HRA and City are supposed to work together. 10.4. Annual Appointments COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE 2022 ANNUAL APPOINTMENTS AS RECOMMENDED. COUNCIL MEMBER SEILS SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0.
