City Council Minutes <br /> July 1, 2014 <br /> Page 7 of 9 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> This last month, WSN has been working with MnDOT on service roads on <br /> the east side of the proposed Hwy 371 south of CSAH 11 and north of <br /> Derksen Road. Discussion was held regarding a frontage road versus a <br /> backage road. Tim Houle suggested a committee of two Council Members <br /> and Mike Loven to meet with MnDOT on this issue. <br /> • Private Work for Earl Hemmerich <br /> Tim Houle explained that Mr. Hemmerich has asked WSN to do some <br /> possible design work for him. The Council had no objection with WSN <br /> working for Mr. Hemmerich. <br /> 10. City Clerk <br /> 10.1. Appoint Election Judges for Primary Election <br /> The Clerk requested the Council to adopt a resolution appointing election <br /> judges for the Primary Election. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 14- <br /> 13 APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE 2014 PRIMARY <br /> ELECTION ON AUGUST 12, 2014. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 10.2. November City Council Meeting Date <br /> The City Clerk explained that because the General Election will be held on <br /> November 4th, the Council will have to hold its meeting on a different date. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL <br /> MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO CONSIDER REGULAR <br /> COUNCIL BUSINESS AND TO CANVASS THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br /> RESULTS ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2014 AT 6:30 P.M. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 10.3. Utility Billing Clerk <br /> The Clerk noted that the Personnel Committee is recommending that the <br /> Utility Billing Clerk position be restructured to handle additional financial <br /> and administrative duties and that the position move from 20 hours per <br /> week to 40 hours per week.
