Planning Commission Report <br /> Report received by Council. <br /> 6.2. Direct Sale of Tax Forfeited Land <br /> Subject Property - .24 acres located adjacent to North Sleuter Road on <br /> the west side of Sibley Lake which includes 9 feet of lakeshore frontage <br /> on Sibley Lake. Justin Burslie noted that Crow Wing County is requesting <br /> to classify the subject tax forfeited property as "Non-Conservation". He <br /> noted that the Planning Commission has determined that the property is <br /> not developable due to the size and is recommending to reclassify it to <br /> non-conservation with the condition that the property be consolidated with <br /> adjacent property owned by the purchasing party. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED THAT THE PROPERTY BE <br /> RECLASSIFIED TO NON-CONSERVATION AND THE PROPERTY BE <br /> OFFERED FOR SALE TO THE ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNER WITH <br /> THE CONDITION THAT THE LOT MUST BE CONSOLIDATED WITH <br /> THE ADJACENT PROPERTY. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 6.3. Ordinance Amendment Regarding Digital Signs <br /> Justin Burslie explained that the Chamber of Commerce, American Legion <br /> and School District have made application for an ordinance amendment to <br /> allow digital/changing message signs in the commercial areas of the City. <br /> The Planning Commission held a public hearing and had discussion on <br /> the proposal. Following the public hearing and discussion the Planning <br /> Commission recommended that the amendment be denied because it is in <br /> conflict with the community character section of the Comprehensive Plan <br /> and because the City has determined that dynamic displays will <br />
