The 4" is the date of <br /> the General Election. State law does not allow public <br /> meetings to be held on Election Day. <br /> After the Election the City Council will be required to <br /> canvass the municipal election results. The timeframe for <br /> this is from November 7 through November 14. <br /> I am suggesting that the Council meet on Monday, <br /> November 10" for its regular meeting and to canvass the <br /> election results. <br /> If the 10th does not work, the Council can consider other <br /> options. <br />
