SIBLEY LAKE PARK — Neighborhood Park
Assessment:
Located on the shores of Sibley Lake on Pequot Boulevard, Sibley Lake Park is a native
red pine forest. Approximately 4.6 acres in size, it would be considered a neighborhood
park. Amenities include a picnic shelter, picnic tables, swing set, playground equipment,
and a fishing pier accessed by a stairway leading down to the lake. The park is located
on a bluff overlooking Sibley Lake.
Proposed Improvements:
• Replace existing steps and side rails
• Cut brush around poplar trees
• Signage on Highway 371 to advertise the park location
• Horseshoe pit
• Add a bike path from the Paul Bunyan Trail to the Park
• Remove the steps by the old dock site
• Garbage receptacles
