EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br />MONDAY, JULY 7, 2014 <br />PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL <br />Members Present: Mayor Adams, Council Members Pederson and Sjoblad <br />Members Absent: Council Member Akerson and Gardner <br />Staff Present: Sandra Peine, City Clerk <br />Call Meeting to Order <br />Mayor Adams called the emergency meeting of the Pequot Lakes City <br />Council to order at 8:00 a.m. <br />This meeting was called to discuss the length of the street light poles for <br />the North Washington Avenue project. The City Engineer will need to <br />order the poles as soon as possible. <br />The City Clerk read an excerpt from the draft July 1, 2014 City Council <br />meeting minutes pertaining to Council discussion on the length of the light <br />poles. It was noted that the length of the light poles was voted on when <br />the North Washington Avenue project specifications were approved by the <br />Council. <br />Mayor Adams stated she would like to compromise on the 20 foot length <br />by suggesting an 18 foot length. Council Member Pederson stated that a <br />16 foot pole would give 14 feet of clearance which would be enough for <br />semi-trucks. Council Member Sjoblad stated that the five Council <br />Members had already voted on the 20 foot poles and he did not feel that <br />should be changed. <br />The Council decided to make no change to the size of the light poles. <br />2. Adiournment <br />There being no further business, COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED <br />TO ADJOURN. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE <br />MOTION.
