■ POPULATION TREND <br />The overall average population growth rate over the past 30 years is approximately 2% while the national <br />average is near 1 %. The 65+ years old age cohort for Crow Wing County is much higher than national <br />average while the 20 year old and less is lower than national average. This reflects the strong influx of <br />retirees into the area that were originally summer and weekend residents.
