AGENDA ITEM #8.1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Report Prepared by: <br /> <br />Date: November 10, 2020 <br /> <br />Subject: Lifesaver Award <br /> <br />Report: North Memorial Ambulance Service would like to present Officer <br />Jorgens with a Lifesaver Award for his efforts at a medical on June 25th, 2020 in <br />the 5000 block of Country Care Ln. <br /> <br />Officer Matt Jorgens was dispatched to 5000 block of Country Care Ln for a report <br />of a resident choking in the dining room. Officer Jorgens was the first to arrive on <br />scene and began life saving efforts. The female was blue and not breathing after <br />taking a large bite of food. Officer Jorgens assisted North Memorial Ambulance by <br />getting the patient on to a cot and holding her head still while paramedics cleared <br />her airway. The patient regained consciousness and began breathing. <br /> <br />Council Action Requested: Council commendation and recognition to Matt <br />Jorgens on receiving the Life Saver Award. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
