Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br /> Mayor Tayloe called the special meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council <br />to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Consider Agenda <br /> <br /> The agenda was accepted as presented. <br /> <br />3. Selection of Finalists for City Administrator Position <br /> <br /> Liza Donabauer from David Drown Associates discussed with the Council <br />the selection process of finalists for the City Administrator position. Ms. <br />Donabauer noted that a numbering system is used to select the finalists to <br />comply with applicant data confidentiality in accordance with State statute. <br />Each Council Member selected their top three candidates in random order <br />using the numbering system. <br /> <br /> 1st vote: 2.4.9.10 <br /> 2nd vote: 6.8.10.9 <br /> 3rd vote: 9.10.4 <br /> <br />Ms. Donabauer recommended that the Council interview 4-6 candidates. <br />She stated that candidates 2,4,6,8,9, and 10 were the top choices by the <br />Council. <br /> <br />Ms. Donabauer discussed the next steps for the hiring process. She <br />noted that a press release will be prepared and finalist information will be <br />updated for the Council which will include reference checks, background <br />checks, personality inventories, and a timeline of the interview process. <br /> <br /> Ms. Donabauer reviewed the interview process with the Council. The <br />interviews will take place on October 28th and October 29th. The final
