High School. The High school plays it over the public
access channel. There are complaints about the schedule
not always being adhered to and the sound quality is poor.
2. E
Meetings are aired live. The city purchased the equipment
for about $20,000. There is one stationary camera which
does not pick up everything at the meeting. Emily Coop
Phone Company provides the cable box and air time.
3. Crosslake
Crosslake is very similar to the City of Emily, except that
Crosslake Communications provided the City with all of
the equipment.
If the Council decides not to begin this process, I would
like other suggestions on how to use the money. One
suggestion would be to upgrade our sound equipment, or
perhaps update the Council Chambers with a different style
of Council tables.
Council Action Requested: Council decision whether or
not to begin the process of taping the Council meetings for
playback on cable television.
