We respectfully request reappointment as the City's Engineer for 2021. As in years past,having WSN as your City Engineer does not come with a Contract or any set cost commitment. When a specific project comes along,we will work with you on the scope of work and provide you a cost proposal. We see ourselves as an egtension of City staff. In working with different City Councils and different City staff inembers for over the past 25 plus years,we believe we can and have provided a continuous foundation and consistent knowledge base. We believe our familiarity with the City helps us provide only those services the City truly needs,and we can be efficient in providing those services(for example,we know what tasks the City can take care of,so,we do not need to spend time on them and bill the City for them)—thus saving the City some dollars. We know you have a choice when it comes to City Engineering consultants.We have some employees that live in Pequot Lakes as well as live and work within the Pequot Lakes Public Schools boundaries.We enjoy being a part of the Pequot Lakes area community. With our approximately 50 employees— 10 of which are owners—in our B�ter office,you and your constituents can rest be assured that their tax money that is invested in Widseth stays in this area.No other firm can say that. Yes,we all have learned during this pandemic that work can be done remotely.But,there is no substitute for face- to-face interaction and"boots on the ground"service.With the number of employees across many disciplines that we have locally,we can offer direct and immediate service to the City Any service related to public infrastructure planning,funding,design,and construction that the City needs,we have and can provide. We appreciated the opportunity to work on the Rasmussen Road and Utility Improvements as well as the City Hall Lobby project in 2020.Both were examples of the teaxn effort that is needed to provide citizens investments that will serve them for years to come.
