Pequot Lakes Police Dept. <br />Report to the City Council <br />September 30, 2009 <br />For the month of September the Department has logged more than 617 individual ICRs. <br />Current Activities: <br />The Reserves, Part time and Full time Officers have conducted more than 977 individual security <br />checks of businesses and homes so far throughout the month, with 5 open doors found at area <br />businesses. <br />The Reserve Unit has been busy during the month of September. On Sept 19th they assisted with the <br />Taste of Pequot festivities in town, providing foot patrol and assistance with crossing CO RD 11 during <br />the event for participants. They have also been busy providing security patrol at the home football and <br />volleyball games again this fall, as well as assisting the American Legion here in town during a special <br />promotional event. <br />Upcoming Training: <br />Oct 12th & 13th: Chief Braam, Officers Gartner and Hogan will all attend Precision Driving School <br />at the Hibbing Community College. This training is required of officers every <br />three years. <br />Oct 8th & 15th: All Officers in the Dept will have the opportunity to attend a free training in <br />Brainerd, on dealing with Domestic Abuse cases. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Jerry Braam <br />Chief of Police <br />
