City of <br /> Pequot <br /> Lakes — <br /> November 2020 Public Works Report <br /> Buildings• <br /> - Work continued with CARES ACT FUNDING PROJECTS. I) Advance Plumbing and Heating <br /> completed installation of the Furnaces and Air Exchange Units in designated buildings 2) Hytec started <br /> late and is working slower than expected on the Entryway Expansion and Access Control project, <br /> largely due to Covid Exposures and Quarantining of one of their crews 3) Gull Lake Glass has been <br /> installing ADA Compliant Automated Doors at Cole Memorial and City Hall as well as protective <br /> customer windows for Admin Staff. They also are now affected by reduced staff and due to Covid <br /> Exposures too. 4) IPS has installed all the Controlled Access Touchpads at City Hall entry Points, <br /> control devices in the Control Room, and will also be installing the Entryway Camera and Intercom <br /> System. They will be providing computer software to operate access control components and training <br /> associated with it for our designated staff. 5) Bengsten Electric helped where need on all. <br /> - Weekly full cleaning and restocking paper in city buildings. <br /> - Removed Rec.���at City Hall & Clean/maintain Oil Recvcling Bin <br /> - Conducted Monthly Building Inspections <br /> - various fixes at the Library <br /> - Heat tape in the problematic gutters was energized and verified it was working. <br /> - Garage door openers were purchased, programmed, and distributed between PD, FD, & PW. <br /> Streets• <br /> - Several more early season snow related actions taken in November (S H;H: :�"('"1 ;1('F1 H:1) �NO�� <br /> E!'H:N I� I�il:�(�lill�t� SPRH�::al)SHH:H:�I�) <br /> - a few locates were called in for Mailbox Installation and 911 Signs, then installed <br /> -West Twin Rd (near S end/County Rd intersection)— Shoulder washout repair w/ Loader& Class 5 <br /> - Various shoulder repairs and several potholes were addressed prior to the latest round of snow <br /> - Ramsey/ Pequot Blvd Primitive Lake Access washouts were filled in and Brush/trees removed. <br /> - 2003 Ford F350 picked up from Repair. $600+ for ABS Brake Module (used Part, new estimated <br /> repair cost would have been $2,000 which would equal the value of the truck). <br /> - 2002 Sterling Plow Truck Repair. The plow actually partially fell off! From staff's after inspection <br /> it was apparent a large support nut fell off a bolt(cotter pin likely rusted/vibrated of� and a Plow <br /> Connection tab broke off, allowing the heavy front plow to fall to the ground (hung low off lifting <br /> chains). Staff`limped' it down to Brian's Welding and we had to spend $600+ to repair the Plow <br /> Frame, Plow Support Tab, Rusted out Plow Skin Spots, and Front Left Fender(rusted through frame <br /> and flopping loose). * I'm not sure on what the cost invoiced out at for the large Plow Support <br /> Bolt/Nut (4" across) that we had to order and have shipped from Falls Fab. <br /> Parks• ' <br /> - staff diligently worked on Holiday Lighting projects and helped Chamber of Commerce Staff with <br /> theirs too. <br /> - Most all winter events are being cancelled due to Covid 19 including Santa's Bopping into Town, and <br /> the Snowmobile Rendezvous <br />
