€ I know what sort of effort is involved for a city to commission a mural. Arts
committees are formed, themes are decided, budgets prepared and approved,
RFQs or RFPs are sent out, and qualified artists are interviewed and chosen. The
process can be lengthy. It's my goal to make this process faster and more simple
for towns such as your own, so they can be stewards of vibrant, skillfully-painted
murals that celebrate their communities.
` Attached you'll find my layout and concept for a custom Pequot Lakes mural.
This mural could serve as a celebration of PL identity, and be featured on an
otherwise empty wall in your downtown. This is an opportunity to display the
pride the community has for its hometown, and to offer a very'instagrammable'
spot to residents and visitors.
The mural is painted on weatherproof aluminum composite panels and can be
produced in a matter of weeks, and installation can take place at any time(warm
weather not necessary). This piece would also be affordable for a piece of
prominent public art, at just over$40/sqft, or$5100. I would provide delivery of
the mural, and would leave installation to the city.
i
I hope you consider this project as a great option for a winter undertaking, and
perhaps an opportunity to cap off a difficult year with a bright addition to your
downtown.
I welcome you to look through my website to see previous examples of the
quality of my work. I am available by email or phone if you would like to
discuss this concept further---Thank you, Mayor and Council Members!
€
Lili (Payne) Lennox
Scenic Artist Muralist
gildedlili.com
612-220-4152
` <Pequot_Lakes Mural.jpg>
2
