MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER JOHNSON TO TEAR DOWN AND REMOVE THE GARDEN IN SIBLEY PARK. COMMISSIONER CLEMENT SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. 6. Other Business Gildner Park Commissioner Jurchen stated she was contacted by some residents who would like to be involved in the planning and monitoring of Gildner Park. The board decided to hold next months meeting at Gildner park. Mike will have the setbacks marked before the meeting. Then they can look to see \... how much room they have and what they want to start putting in the park. Then maybe invite the residence's to a meeting so they can hear the discussions. Commissioner DenHartog suggested a plan that would build the park in phases. It was the consensus of the Park Commission to put together a comprehensive plan of the park. Gazebo Malecha suggested someone talk to Crafters Market to see what they would want for their gazebos. Malecha presented the Board with an estimate from UBC showing the cost to renovate the existing gazebo to be used for bands to perform in during the summers. The total cost is $2,107.39. Time Design offered to do construction for free. The Lions offered to contribute $1,000 and Tim Rogenkamp offered to contribute $500. The Park Commission asked if the City would" contribute $600. Lions Club asked if they would be able to have a sign by the gazebo stating the renovation was done by the Lions Club. The Board agreed it should be a permanent one and not a free standing one. �11-
