Chair Birch inquired about the size of the accessory structure. Mr. Burslie suggested
eliminating the size requirement because this accessory structure limitation (28o sq.
ft.) is already in the City Code. Mr. Burslie stated that theoo square foot size for guest
quarters is a DNR regulation for shoreline rules. Commissioner Larson would like the
lot size regulation be removed from the ordinance.
Commissioner Wilson inquired about the guest quarters and guest cottages, his
interpretation is guest quarters would be overflow of sleeping arrangements vs tiny
apartments.
Discussion ensued regarding the possible updates on the ordinance. Consensus of the
Commission is to continue discussion to next month after Ms. Bittner contacts the Lake
Associations in the Pequot Lakes area to get further feedback from them regarding the
possible ordinance amendment.
.
