MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> ` :��,� <br /> Mayor Tayloe opened the public hearing regarding the pw�entially dangerous dog <br /> situation. <br /> Chief Klang pt'�vaded the i��roductory and background comments on the case. He <br /> explained to th��Vlayor and�ity Council that they are going to be tasked with making a <br /> determination on tn�`iether�r�tt:this dog is going to be considered a dangerous dog or a <br /> po,t�,�i�i+��erous dt�. �-1e���anitia(ly the dog was claimed or deemed as a <br /> ,p�tgfi�i`ally da�r.�us do�. , <br /> .,, : - . <br /> Ci��f,Klang statec���on A�gi��t 4, 2020, the Pequot Lakes Police Department <br /> resppr�ded to the call�irid on A�ust 10, 2020 subsequently issued a potentially <br /> danget�r� dog notice�i Todd Lyrt�s. <br /> Chief Klang 5�8ted that �ts going to give you the facts and he has no determination <br /> whatsoever oiti V�at t��ecision will be. He stated he is just here to let you know what <br /> happened with t�i;�ic#s�nd that the City Council is going to be kind of a jury in this <br /> matter. He stated t�tat#hey will make the determination after everything is presented and <br /> after hearing from both sides. He stated that the Council will hear Mr. Lynes, the dog's <br /> owner; and Michael Davis, the o�cer who was on the scene. <br /> Officer Davis gave an overview of the report that was on file. Officer Davis did not feel <br /> threatened at the time of the original call. Officer Jorgens gave an overview of what had <br /> happened at the time of paper service. However, Officer Jorgens did experience both <br /> dogs in the home acting aggressively, neither attacked but he backed away to his <br /> vehicle. <br />
