Pequot Lakes Police Monthly Report Julv 2020: During the month of July (15Y-315Y), the Pequot Lakes Police Department has a record of 336 calls for service. Call types include but are not limited to: • 911 Hangup • Agency Assist • Alarm • Civil Problem • EMS • Fireworks • Damage To Property • Hazard In Road • Motorist Assist • Party Complaint • Theft • Welfare Check Notable Calls: On 7/4/20, Sgt. Ryan Franz was dispatched to the report of a large party with underage subjects present. Along with assistance from the Nisswa Police Department and Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office, officers dispersed the party and issued 16 citations for Underage Consumption. On 7/8/20, Sgt. Ryan Franz was working overnight when a large storm came through Pequot Lakes. He assisted the Maintenance Department by removing trees and branches from multiple locations that were blocking the roadway. On 7/18/20, Sgt. Ryan Franz was dispatched to a report of physical domestic. A female called 911 and stated she had been choked and hit in the face by a male. Male also called 911 and stated he had been assault by the female. Along with assistance from Reserve Officer Adam Casanova and the Breezy Point Police Department, the male was ultimately arrested for Felony Domestic Assault by Strangulation and was transported to the Crow Wing County Jail. On 7/25/20, Officers Steve Emerson and Mike Davis were dispatched to a 911 Hangup. A juvenile female had called 911 and stated that there was a fight happening between her mom and boyfriend and then the call disconnected. The officers arrived on scene and spoke to parties involved. The male party agreed to leave for the night. It was determined that both parties engaged in mutual combat. Both the male and female were issued citations for Misdemeanor pomestic Assault.
