Call Sqecial Citv Council Meetin4 for Capital Improvement Planninq &2021 <br /> Budqet Work Session <br /> Nancy Malecha requested the Council call a Special City Council Meeting for <br /> Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. to review the City's Capital Improvement <br /> Plan and 2021 Preliminary Budget. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL CITY <br /> COUNCIL MEETING FOR AUGUST 18, 2020 AT 5:30 P.M. TO REVIEW THE <br /> CITY'S CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN AND 2021 PRELIMINARY BUDGET. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SEILS SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5- <br /> 0. <br /> 10.7. HRA Commission Appointment <br /> Nancy Malecha stated there is currently one vacancy on the HRA Commission. <br /> She said Deborah Botham and Clara Nelson have submitted applications for <br /> appointment and the HRA Commission Chair Robert Ritter is recommending the <br /> `, Council appoint Deborah Botham to fill the vacancy. <br /> Council Member Akerson stated that he received a lot of calls over the weekend <br /> from people asking what is happening at the HRA. He asked if the appointment <br /> can be postponed for a month as he would like to review the information he has <br /> received. <br /> Ms. Malecha reminded the Council the City does not have authority over the <br /> HRA and the only thing that the City does for them is appoint their Commission <br /> Members and approve their levy. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO TABLE THE APPOINTMENT THE <br /> HOUSING 8� REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY COMMISSIONER UNTIL THE <br /> AUGUST 4, 2020 COUNCIL MEETING. Citv Administrator's ResiQnation & Proposal for Citv Administrator Search <br /> Nancy Malecha stated that she has submitted her resignation as City <br /> Administrator and her last day will be on July 24, 2020. She stated that she is <br /> honored and grateful to have served the Pequot Lakes Community for the past <br /> 18 years and said it has been a privilege to work alongside all of you during her <br /> tenure. <br /> � The City Council acknowledged Ms. Malecha's resignation as City Administrator. <br />
