IM
Park Board Minutes
June 11, 2009
Page 2
whether the City should use a printer or print it in- house. It was decided
that this year would be used as a trial year. Black and white copies would
be printed to hand out at the July 4th parade. The City would print color
copies on a heavier stock of paper and hand out to the resorts and the
Chamber of Commerce.
5. Summer Bands
Council Member Malecha informed the Park Commission Members that
she has lined up several bands to play in the park during the summer. The
one issue that she is running into is the lack of a stage. Discussion was
held regarding the need for a stage and possibly a band stand. The Park
Commission decided to discuss this at the next Park Board meeting.
6. Park Garbage Cans
Public Works Supervisor Mike Loven updated the Park Commission on
the purchase of the garbage cans. He noted that the ones purchased were
too big and would have to be exchanged for smaller ones.
6. Other Business
Chair Tweed had the park signs present. The Commission was very
pleased with the signs. Chair Tweed also noted that she has planted the
flowers in the planters at Bobber Park.
Discussion was held regarding the need for a sign at the Cole Memorial
Building. It was decided that this would be discussed at the next meeting.
9. Adjournment
There being no further business, COMMISSIONER JOHNSON MOVED
TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COMMISSIONER DENHARTOG
SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:15 PM.
Respectfully Submitted,
Sandy Peine
City Clerk
