MONTHLY STAFF REPORT City Clerk's Office June, 2009 Meetings City Council Meetings The Council held two Council meeting in June. June 2. 2009 — Council Actions • Approved Transient Merchant Licenses for the Chamber of Commerce Summer events • Approved Chang order and Partial Pay Estimate #1 for the South Oak Street Project • Approved the preliminary plat for Pequot LLC • Approved the purchase of a John Deere mower • Authorized the construction of the parking lot at Gildner Park • Authorized street improvements for West Woodman, West Butler, Nickel Road and West Twin Lake Road • Called a special budget work session for August 11th • Approved liquor licenses `, • Approved tobacco licenses • Adopted a resolution in regard to the Highway 371 project • Transferred the assessment and local board duties to the County Board for a three - year period • Authorized staff to pursue purchase of Little Pine Plaza for the library June 23, 2009 — Special Council Meeting • Approved a transient merchant license for Business Connect/Chamber to hold events in the middle of town on the first Thursday of each month in the summer • Authorized American Legion to have a beer wagon outside of their building during July 3 -5 • Appointed Nancy Malecha as the Deputy City Clerk • Adopted a resolution requesting state bonding for Trunk Highway 371 • Authorized the purchase of the Little Pine Plaza for the Library Building • Adopted a resolution providing for the issuance and sale of $110,000 in taxable library revenue bonds • Authorized the redemption of Library CD's Meetings Park Commission The Park Commission minutes are included for your review.
