CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION 20- <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING SOUTH SLUETTER ROAD <br /> WHERF.AS,the City of Pequot Lakes (City)is generally authorized to accept donations <br /> of real and personal property pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 465.03 for the <br /> benefit of its citizens; and <br /> WHEREAS, Gary L. Peterson and Jaculin M. Peterson (Donor) are the owners of real <br /> estate described as Outlot B, Peterson's Mayoville Estates, commonly known as"South <br /> Sluetter Road"; and <br /> WHEREA,S,the Donor wishes to make a donation of Outlot B, Peterson's Mayoville <br /> Estates to the City, as noted on Exhibit A; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City has been maintaining South Sluetter Road since the orderly <br /> annexation of Sibley Township in 2002, even though it is not public property; and <br /> WHERF.AS,the Donor requests the City to continue maintenance of South Sluetter <br /> Road; the City Attorney was consulted and advised the City of the Quit Claim Deed <br /> process. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PEQUOT <br /> LAKES, MINNESOTA that the donation described above is hereby graciously <br /> accepted by the City of Pequot Lakes and shall continue to be utilized as a City road <br /> under the terms and conditions expressed herein. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes this 4th day of August, 2020. <br /> James Tayloe <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Angie Duus <br /> City Clerk/Treasurer <br />
