City of <br /> Pequot <br /> Lakes = - <br /> Jul_y 2020 Public Works Report <br /> Buildin$s• <br /> -Weekly full cleaning of facilities including additional Covid related wipe-downs <br /> -working on summary of recommendations and budget discussion in regards to Cole—Door& Insul. <br /> - installed signage at the Library related to Rasmussen Road Project(Handicapped &911 signs) <br /> - Removed Recyclin�at City Hall & Clean/maintain Oil Recycling Bin <br /> - Conducted Monthly Building Inspections <br /> - Had Cole and City Hall Parking Lots restriped <br /> Streets• <br /> -Repair 2 major washout areas from July storms (1 repeated spot on top of Coleman Dr., 1 a <br /> sinkhole/washout on Akerson Hill/gutter) <br /> - ongoing fleet maintenance including greasing, washing, oil changes, filters, etc. <br /> -worked on extensive sign repair/replacement/rehab needs in town(Rasmussen—Trails, Handicapped; <br /> No Parking, Authorized only, etc.) <br /> - finished Crack Seal Inventory list and solicited bids from 2 companies <br /> - solicited a bid for Cullen Cove Repair needs <br /> -met with a local street striping company to solicit a bid for 2020 streets in need of striping <br /> - Conducted a walk-through on the Rasinussen Road Construction project with engineer, inspector, <br /> R.L. Larson Supervisor, Andy Schwartz - PRASSD <br /> -Many locates were called in for numerous Mailbox Installations, 911 Signs, and Street Signs <br /> - installed several mailboxes and 911 signs <br /> - Shouldering Repair on Water Tower Road Radius <br /> - installed a `No Sales' sign at the entrance to Wilderness Dr as it's a problem area for litter/free items <br /> - Repaired potholes and installed `No Parking' Signs on main near Post Office <br /> Parks• <br /> - emptied Garbage Cans, watered Bobber Park Flowers, 74 new trees, &20 dogwood shrubs <br /> -installed new wooden fence at the Beanhole Pits <br /> - Hosted 11 VOLUNTEERS helpers from the Baptist Church Youth Group for Park Cleanup <br /> -Verified all our irrigation is finally working properly <br /> -removed and replaced mulch in all areas needed in our parks/city properties <br /> -mowing and irrigating are definitely keeping us busy <br /> Other• <br /> - Cit,�Message updates <br /> - Replace Community Sign when it was blown down in a storm <br /> - Called Coils Flags to verify they were going to replace our 58-flag display as promised prior to July <br /> 4�'. He reconfirmed the `supply chain' was very slow this year and he only had 56 in stock.
