From:Josh Heintzeman<rep.iosh.heintzeman@house.mn> <br /> Sent: Monday,June 29, 2020 5:01 PM <br /> To: mavor@pequotlakes-mn.�ov <br /> Subject: Update on CARES Act Funding for Pequot Lakes <br /> Mayor Tayloe, <br /> I wanted to provide you an update on the federal CARES Act funding bill and give guidance on how to <br /> apply. <br /> Earlier this month, all four legislative caucuses reached a bipartisan agreement to distribute$841 million <br /> in federal dollars;$467M would go to counties,$350M to cities,and $23M to towns. <br /> That plan has now been approved and will start to be disbursed at the end of this month and no <br /> applications will be accepted after September 15. <br /> How to Apply <br /> To be eligible, local governments must certify that they will follow state and federal guidelines for use of <br /> the relief funds. (See state Requirements and Instructions and federal guidance.)To apply: <br /> 1. Download and complete the Coronavirus Relief Fund Certification Form (PDF) <br /> 2. Email the form to PropTax.Admin@state.mn.us <br /> Certifications will be accepted until September 15,2020.Certifications received after September 15 will <br /> not be eligible for a distribution. <br /> Certification and Distribution Schedule <br /> Funds will be distributed approximately 6-8 business days after each of these certification dates: <br /> June 26 <br /> June 29 <br /> July 20 <br /> luly 31 <br /> August 14 <br /> August 28 <br /> September 15 <br /> A reminder on the approved use of this funding is below.
