City Council Minutes <br /> June 2, 2020 <br /> Page 11 of 12 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> APPLICATION PACKET FOR PHASE ONE OF THE HEART OF THE GOOD <br /> LIFE DEVELOPMENT TO BE PAID FROM THE GENERAL FUND— <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BUDGET. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 12.2. BDPI Resolution <br /> Nancy Malecha informed the Council that included in the packet is the BDPI <br /> Grant Program application that will be completed. As a part of this application <br /> process, included is a local government resolution that the Council needs to <br /> adopt. She is also requesting Council authorization for her to complete and <br /> submit the application on behalf of the City. <br /> Mr. Houle clarified that it is a 50% grant program and it is not guaranteed. He <br /> stated they estimated roughly $350,000 for phase one project costs but it will not <br /> be exactly 50% because certain line items are excluded. The resolution states <br /> the City will be committing $164,700 for this grant from the Business Park Fund. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SEILS MOVED TO ADOPT THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT <br /> RESOLUTION 20-23 FOR THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT <br /> INFRASTRUCTURE APPLICATION AND FURTHER AUTHORIZES THE CITY <br /> ADMINISTRATOR TO COMPLETE AND SUBMIT THE BDPI GRANT <br /> PROGRAM APPLICATION PACKET ON BEHALF OF THE CITY. MAYOR <br /> TAYLOE SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 12.3. Proposal for Subdivision Plattina Services <br /> Tim Houle stated this proposal in the amount of$4,425 if for platting the City <br /> Maintenance Facility, Xcel Energy's proposed parcel, the dedicated road right of <br /> way, and dedicated drainage/utility easements. He said the rest of the Heart of <br /> the Good Life Development would remain an outlot and when the next <br /> development occurs then the City would incrementally plat as needed. <br /> Ms. Malecha stated there was an error in the memo and it should be <br /> approximately nine acres that would be platted as a part of this proposal. She <br /> also stated this proposal would be paid for out of the Business Park Fund. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL FOR <br /> SUBDIVISION PLATTING SERVICES FROM WIDSETH IN THE AMOUNT OF <br /> $4,425 TO BE PAID FROM THE BUSINESS PARK FUND FOR PHASE ONE <br /> OF THE HEART OF THE GOOD LIFE DEVELOPMENT. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> SEILS SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 13. Other Business <br /> There was no other business. <br /> 14. Adiournment <br />
