She clarified that a two thirds <br /> reduction in fees will result for the full license period. <br /> Council discussion ensued about the capacity at which restaurants are open. <br /> Council Member Akerson stated this affects the City's revenue and goes into our <br /> budget. <br /> Council discussion ensued about the reductions that have been given to these <br /> businesses and that the Council does not want the businesses to fail and close <br /> up. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 10.1.B.Outdoor Seatinq Options for Bars & Restaurants <br /> Ms. Malecha informed the Council that included in the packet was a legal opinion <br /> from Crow Wing County Attorney Don Ryan regarding implementation guidelines <br /> to consider if and when we allow bars and restaurants to temporarily extend their <br /> licensed premises outside due to the Governor's Executive Order, 20-56. She <br /> stated City Staff reached out to Joe's Pizza, Lakes Latte, Lucky's Tavern, and <br /> Latte' Da to determine if they would find value in the City allowing outdoor <br /> seating on the City parking lot north of Joe's Pizza and on one block of <br /> Government Drive. She said all four businesses thanked the City for thinking of <br /> them during this time but they all respectfully declined as they feel, especially the <br /> businesses along Government Drive, that the parking areas are very important <br /> for them during this time. <br /> 10.2. Review of 2020 Budqet Expenditure Reductions <br /> Ms. Malecha stated that at the May City Council meeting the Council directed <br /> departments to carefully review their 2020 budgetary expenditures and compile a <br /> list of potential reductions. She stated the total amount of the reductions on the <br /> following list would be around $69,000. <br /> • Council —Travel/Conferences/Schools - $500 <br /> • Administration—Office Supplies - $500 <br /> • Administration—Clothing Allowance - $100 <br /> • Administration—Travel/Conferences/Schools - $2,500 <br /> • Administration—Contract Services—$2,000 <br /> • Planning &Zoning —Operating Supplies- $300 <br /> • Planning &Zoning —Clothing Allowance - $50 <br /> • Police—Wages & Benefits due to being short-staffed - $23,500 <br /> • Police— Radios - $2,000 <br /> • Police— Fuel - $3,100 <br /> • Police—Travel/Conferences/Schools - $2,000 <br /> • Police— Repair/Maintenance/Services - $1,000 <br />
