MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. 3.1. Request to Dispense Liquor Off Premise at the American Legion During the Stars and Stripes Days. The American Legion is requesting to have a beer wagon outside of the American Legion in a roped off area on the west side of the building. The Legion has supplied a certificate of liquor liability insurance for this event. The days of the event will be July 3 — 5. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE AMERICAN LEGION TO DISPENSE (BEER) OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING IN THE ROPED OFF AREA FROM JULY 3 — 5 IN COORDINATION WITH THE STARS AND STRIPES DAYS. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. 3.2. Request to Appoint Deputy City Clerk The City Clerk requested the Council to appoint Nancy Malecha as the `-- Deputy City Clerk to handle the duties of the City Clerk in the absence of the City Clerk. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO APPOINT NANCY MALECHA AS THE DEPUTY CITY CLERK TO HANDLE THE DUTIES OF THE CITY CLERK IN THE ABSENCE OF THE CITY CLERK. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5- 0. 4. Consider Resolution Requesting State Bonding for Trunk Highway 371 The Clerk noted that the Highway 371 Committee and other corridor partners are requesting that the City of Pequot Lakes adopt a resolution in support of State Bonding for the Highway 371 project. The Clerk noted that a similar resolution was recently adopted by the Council for Federal funds. If successful in receiving the State Bonding request, the money would be used for design and right -of -way acquisition. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 09 -18 REQUESTING STATE BONDING FOR TRUNK HIGHWAY 371. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. 5. Library Building Purchase
