Pequot Lakes Community Library Special Board of Directors Meeting <br />`- Tuesday, May 22, 2009 <br />Chairperson John Longnecker called the meeting to order. <br />Board members present: David Anderson, Nancy Adams, John Longnecker, Claire Nagel and Tina <br />Hanneken. Board members absent: Lydia Loven and Sam Hennies. Visitors present: Craig Nagel <br />Little Pine Plaza <br />-Nancy and John met with Dave and JP Elsenpeter at the bank to discussion options and requirements <br />of the possible purchase of the Little Pine Plaza <br />-Jim Gammello has offered free legal advice during this process <br />- Discussion of Pros /Cons of Little Pine Plaza purchase <br />Claire Nagel made a motion that we ask the City council for permission to secure financing for the <br />purchase of Little Pine Plaza as a library facility. We also ask permission to pay $50,000 of library <br />funds to the secondary mortgage holder. Dave Anderson seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Fund Raising- <br />- discussion of possible contributors <br />-Rural Development —loan <br />- Larson Family Foundation —loan <br />Conversation With... <br />-Ann Hutchings will be meeting with the Director of Community Education to see if we could <br />combine our resources and advertising <br />OR <br />501 (c)(3) <br />-John will be meeting with Nancy Cross on Tues, May 26, 2009. She has experience in <br />completing the required forms and has offered to assist the library. <br />Nancy made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
